A new year and an exceptional concert by the Brisbane Lesbian and Gay Pride Choir.In West End’s Kurilpa Hall, the Brisbane Lesbian and Gay Pride Choir present an evening of pop classics including The Eurhythmics’ Sweet Dreams Are Made Of This, The Carpenters’ We’ve Only Just Begun and Richie Valens' La Bamba.
The evening also includes the Australian premiere of The Colour Of His Hair, a powerful protest song arranged especially for the choir by Michael Browne.

The philosophy of the choir is to provide an opportunity for Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender people to sing and perform together.
Now in its fourteenth year, the Choir is a strong community group and continues to perform at community events throughout Australia including The Brisbane Pride Festival, Brisbane Festival and Social Inclusion Week.
The choir’s musical director is Marina Aboody-Thacker. She has worked in the community sector as a musician and administrator and currently conducts two adult community choirs and three children’s choirs in Brisbane.
The choir welcomes members to the fun and friendship that is the iconic Brisbane Lesbian and Gay Pride Choir.

We are a passionate group of Brisbane lesbians and gay men who quite simply love to sing!
So ladies are you sexy Soprano or the sultry Alto? And guys, fancy yourself as a booming Bass or a terrific Tenor?

HIRE US
We sang at the Brisbane World Theatre Festival 2011 at The Powerhouse with the terriic Rosie Dennis in 'Downtown'; Brisbane World Aids Day service 2010; in the Auckland Town Hall Easter 2010; the launch of Prejudice and Pride exhibition and performed as part of Brisbane Festvial 2010. We sing at Brisbane Pride Festival, protests, parties, festivals or just about anything!  We could be the draw card at your next gig: $500 /negotiable
