Bunion surgery, or Hallux Valgus Correction, is one of the most common podiatry issues. A bunion is a bump that has developed on the inside of your foot at the base of the big toe. This can occur at any stage of life. Bunions are caused by a change in the alignment of bones in the toe and at the first Metatarsal phalangeal joint, which is the large joint at the base of the first toe.
