About Cairns Queer Film Festival

The Cairns Queer Film Festival (CQFF) is a celebration of queer films for lesbian, gay, transgender and all queer people in Cairns and Tropical North Queensland.  It is a social event for the community, by the community that enables the inclusion of all LGBT+ people.

Connecting through films and endeavouring to educate while supporting the health and well-being of all.  CQFF is a not-for-profit group run by LGBT+ community volunteers.

Our 2018 festival has been increased to four days and to six films. The dates are 19th to 22nd July 2018 and we are at our new home of Events Cinema in Grafton Street Cairns.  Tickets can be purchased online or email for Cairns locations.

Festival Passes are the way to go if you just love LGBT+ content movies, and you can give away a session ticket to a friend who perhaps may want to see a movie, you're not keen on. Festival Passes are $75. However, if you get in early, our May special is $60 for six movies which is expires 31st May 2018.
